Terms, waiver & policies

1. Parties & scope

These terms form the agreement between the client (“you”) and Sip. Style. Shoot., a collaboration between Krystal Loewen (Curated Revival) and Nicole Muench (njoycephotography_) (together, the “Studio”). By booking, paying a deposit, signing the waiver or attending a session, you accept these terms in full.

This page is maintained by the Studio and is provided for general information. It is not legal advice. The Studio recommends having a licensed lawyer in your province or state review this agreement before it is relied upon for a signed contract.

2. Booking, deposit & payment

A $75 deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve a date and time slot. Your reservation is not confirmed until the deposit is received. The deposit is applied to your session total.

Two payment methods are accepted: credit card, or Interac e-Transfer to Sipstyleshoot@curatedrevival.com. If you choose e-Transfer, your date and time slot are held for 24 hours; if the deposit has not arrived by then, the slot is released back to the calendar.

The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your session. If you booked by credit card, you authorise the Studio to charge the card provided at booking for the outstanding balance at that time. If you booked by e-Transfer, the balance must be sent by e-Transfer before the 48-hour mark; an unpaid balance may result in the session being released without refund of the deposit.

A receipt is emailed to you each time a payment is received, and the Studio keeps a record of each payment against your booking. Prices are quoted in the currency displayed at checkout and do not include applicable taxes unless stated.

3. Rescheduling, cancellation & late arrival

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your scheduled arrival time receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the $75 deposit, and rescheduling is free of charge to any future content day, subject to availability. Cancellations made inside 48 hours are non-refundable — no refund of the deposit or of the balance charged at the 48-hour mark is given. Failure to attend without notice is charged at the full session fee. Approved refunds are returned by the same method the payment was made and are typically issued within 5–10 business days.

Sessions begin and end at the scheduled slot times. Late arrival shortens your session; the fee is not reduced and time is not extended, as other clients follow you.

Sip. Style. Shoot. reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to photographer illness, emergencies, unsafe conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a reschedule, the client’s booking will be transferred to a new mutually agreed-upon date.

If the Studio must cancel due to illness, equipment failure, weather, venue loss or another event beyond its control, you may choose a rescheduled date or a full refund of amounts paid. This is the Studio’s entire liability for a cancelled session.

4. Release of liability & assumption of risk

You acknowledge that attending a content day involves inherent risks, including movement around sets, props, lighting stands, cables, flooring, steamers, hot beverages, alcohol service, cosmetics, garments and jewellery, and travel to and from the location.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, discharge and agree not to sue Krystal Loewen (Curated Revival), Nicole Muench (njoycephotography_), Sip. Style. Shoot., and their respective owners, employees, contractors, assistants, agents and venue hosts (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, injuries, losses, costs or expenses — including personal injury, illness, allergic or skin reaction, emotional distress, and loss of or damage to personal property — arising out of or related to your participation, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where such a release is prohibited by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from any claim brought by you, your guests, your minor children or anyone attending at your invitation.

You confirm you are 18 years or older, or that a parent/guardian has signed on your behalf, and that you are physically and medically able to participate. You are responsible for disclosing allergies, pregnancy, medical conditions or accessibility needs before the session.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of the Released Parties for any claim connected to a session is limited to the amount you actually paid for that session. The Released Parties are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost opportunity.

The Studio maintains reasonable backups but is not liable for image loss caused by hardware failure, theft, corruption or force majeure beyond the refund limit above.

6. Model release & image usage

Unless you opt out in writing before your session, you grant the Studio, Krystal Loewen (Curated Revival) and Nicole Muench (njoycephotography_) an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use images and video from your session for portfolio, website, social media, print, advertising and promotional purposes, and you waive any right to inspect, approve or receive payment for such use.

Copyright in all images remains with the photographer. You receive a personal and commercial licence to use your delivered gallery images to promote your own business, including on social media, your website and in print.

You may not sell the images, claim authorship, or alter them with filters, crops or edits that materially change the finished work. Please credit @njoycephotography_ where practical. Unedited files, RAW files and outtakes are not delivered.

7. Deliverables

Edited images are delivered to a private online gallery within seven (7) days unless otherwise agreed, and galleries remain available for 60 days. Editing style, image selection and creative direction are at the photographer’s artistic discretion. Re-edits for personal taste are not included.

8. The Revival Closet

Closet garments are provided courtesy of Curated Revival and remain the property of Curated Revival until purchased. Every item styled in the closet is available to purchase; pricing is provided on request and on the day.

You are responsible for garments while they are in your care. Damage beyond normal wear — stains, tears, makeup transfer, burns, odour or loss — will be invoiced at the item’s listed retail replacement value, payable within 14 days.

Garments are pre-owned and curated. Please disclose fabric, detergent or metal sensitivities before wearing. Wearing closet pieces is voluntary and at your own risk, and is covered by the release in section 4.

Purchases of closet items are final sale; no returns or exchanges.

9. Conduct, guests & alcohol

One guest may attend with prior notice. The Studio may end a session without refund for unsafe, intoxicated, harassing or abusive behaviour toward staff, guests or property.

Mimosas are served to guests of legal drinking age only, with valid identification on request. A non-alcoholic option is always available. You accept full responsibility for your own consumption and your transportation afterwards.

10. Privacy

The Studio collects the information you submit through the booking flow — name, email, phone, business details, sizing, styling notes and drink preference — solely to plan and deliver your session and to contact you about it. It is not sold or rented.

Information is stored with the Studio’s service providers and shared only with Krystal Loewen and Nicole Muench and any contractor assisting with your session. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored by the Studio.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by contacting the Studio.

11. Third-party links & site content

Links to curatedrevival.com and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. The Studio is not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Site copy, images, pricing and availability may change without notice.

12. Governing law & entire agreement

This agreement is governed by the laws of the province/state in which the session takes place, and the parties submit to the courts of that jurisdiction. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.

These terms, together with the waiver you sign during booking, form the entire agreement between you and the Studio and supersede any prior discussion. Amendments must be in writing.
